A gathering of key players in the tourism sector for the blockchain

“The Global Tourism Forum Blockchain for Travel Summit” was organized by Ariva Digital and World Tourism Forum Institute and was supported by Dubai Tourism, which attracted key tourism industry players and high profile speakers. The main objective of the event was to discuss how blockchain could reshape the tourism sector.

former French President, Francois Hollande, noted that blockchain technology provides an ideal ecosystem to take tourism to the next level. He added that blockchain and cryptocurrency would help governments and private sectors to retain important data and shape investment plans in the tourism sector.

“More accurate data created by blockchain and cryptocurrency payment technologies will help governments and private sectors to effectively shape their investment plans and tourism services. I believe this system will evolve around the world,” Holland added.

Holland further noted that “it is the responsibility of all governments and heads of state to make travel more accessible for all. They must develop all the conditions to facilitate not only topics such as health, transport and security, but also new technologies such as blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Because these technologies can give certain elements that allow lower fees to further support travel.

This sentiment was echoed by the largest international development banker, Kaiser Naseemwho noted that blockchain has the potential to improve existing financial products and services.

Europe has taken the lead in terms of blockchain regulation, making it ideal for blockchain adoption. Ismail Ertug, Member of the European Parliament, believes that a synergistic relationship would benefit all parties. “My wish is to set the gold standard for the regulation of these new technologies, which should come and be driven by the EU,” he added.

Jose Ramon Bauza, a member of the European Parliament, also revealed his hope that blockchain could transform different sectors in the EU. Blockchain is an opportunity. The EU leader should be informed of these developments. Blockchain can help in every chain in the tourism industry.

Haitham Mattar a major player and managing director of MEA & South West Asia IHG Hotels & Resorts, also added his thoughts on the state of the tourism industry. There is no hotel operator today that truly meets the speed of any owner’s expectations. Hotel owners, like any business, want to operate from a dashboard of quick insights. We are now using artificial intelligence, not only to appease landlords, but also to improve our bookings. It allows customers to make reservations and get confirmations faster – and hopefully gives owners what they want – easy access to information.

Mattar further added: I dream of hotels without receptionists. AI helps with self-check-in and saves customers time. In today’s world, even 5 minutes of waiting in a queue is a very long time. Technology is helping to enhance these experiences.

Dr. Michael Gebert, The President of the European Blockchain Association also highlighted the importance of blockchain technology. “We need to understand the blockchain to be able to use it.”

Ariva cited as a major blockchain solution in the tourism sector

Ariva received praise from the keynote speaker Taleb Rifaiwho was previously Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization. RifaI noted that the blockchain protocol was a perfect example of how crypto payments could work in the tourism industry.

“I am sure that crypto will be the new payment model in the tourism industry in the near future, and ARIVA is leading this movement,” he added. The event was streamed live on the Ariva digital platform and caught the attention of the crypto community.

Ariva has become one of the fastest growing blockchain platforms focused on the tourism industry. The innovative blockchain protocol has developed an ecosystem divided into key areas – Ariva.World (B2C online crypto travel booking portal) and Ariva.Finance (Crypto payment gateway) and Ariva Wonderland (the world’s first travel metaverse) .

In recent days, it has also reached important milestones with the release of Ariva.World where travelers can book travel services with Ariva Coin and stablecoins. Additionally, the Ariva.Finance payment gateway has also been launched and users can make reservations on Ariva.World directly from the gateway.

Ariva has also developed a downloadable mobile application on the Apple Store and Google Play Store. These latest developments from Ariva show the growing popularity of the blockchain protocol.
