Casper area police, firefighters playing charity softball for Natrona SafeRide

CASPER, Wyoming. – Casper area first responders are ready to participate in a charity softball game to support Natrona County’s SafeRide program. The match will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday July 31.

The charity game will take place before the Casper Horseheads baseball game. Charity game tickets start at $ 16 and include entry to the Horseheads game in addition to an all-you-can-eat picnic.

Natrona County’s SafeRide program offers free rides for patrons of bars and restaurants who need a sober return home.

“This service is available at most facilities in Natrona County and partners with local taxi companies to provide free, low-cost rides to a user’s home,” the task force said. Natrona County liquor in a press release Friday. “The service is available 24/7 by calling 307-266-7233 and remains free thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Natrona County Alcohol Task Force.”

First responders from the Casper Police Department, Casper Fire Department and other local agencies will participate in the charity softball game on Saturday.

People can buy tickets for the charity game at Mike Lansing Field or in advance online. People who buy tickets from must use promo code SAFE if they want to make sure any part of the sale will support Natrona County SafeRide.

Individuals purchasing tickets in person should inform the ticket office that they wish to support SafeRide.

The Natrona County Alcohol Task Force is a coalition of area law enforcement agencies and local bar, restaurant and taxi services.
