Closure of COVID vaxx clinics

CK Public Health’s mass vaccination efforts against COVID-19 will soon end, leaving pharmacies as the best option for local residents.

Public Health’s latest vaccination clinics are Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon and May 31 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at their clinic at 730 Richmond Street in Chatham.

“Most pharmacies book appointments in advance and some also allow walk-in visits as well,” CK Public Health manager Alyssa Bunning said in a press release. “It’s a very convenient option for our local residents and one that we encourage to use.”

Those looking to book their vaccine through a local pharmacy can find full details about a specific location online at www.covid-19.ontario.ca/vaccine-locations or by calling their local pharmacy directly.

CK Public Health will continue to provide protection against COVID-19 through various pop-up community clinics in Chatham-Kent.

Pop-up clinics currently available for reservations and walk-ins include the Active Lifestyle Center at 20 Merritt Ave. in Chatham on June 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the Salvation Army at 46 Orangewood Blvd, in Chatham on June 6. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A number of additional pop-up clinics are pending finalization, and information will be available at www.CKPublicHealth.com/Clinics and can be found by following @CKPublicHealth on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter or by calling 519-351-1010.
