How to get vaccinated against COVID-19
Vaccines for children under 5 are not yet available. Register your child now to be notified when they are eligible.
To get vaccinated against COVID-19, you must register with the provincial Get Vaccinated system.

Sign up for the Get Vaccinated system
You can register yourself or someone else, such as a parent, grandparent or child. We will never ask you for your SIN, driver’s license number, or bank and credit card details.
Fastest option: online
To register online, you to have to to bring:
- Full name
- Date of Birth
- Postal code
- Personal Health Insurance Number (PHN)
- An e-mail address checked regularly Where a phone number that can receive text messages
Find your PHN on the back of your BC Driver’s License, BC Services Card or CareCard.

Other registration and booking options
You can register in person at any Service BC office.
Office hours vary by location. Check before you go.
Anyone can get vaccinated, even if you don’t have a PHN or other documents. It doesn’t matter if you are a Canadian citizen or not.
Register even if you have already received a dose at another location.
All of your information will be kept private and will never be shared with any other agencies or parts of government.
Book your appointment
After your registration, we send you an invitation link to the reservation. Use the link to book your vaccination appointment online or by phone. It’s easy and guarantees you a spot at a community pharmacy or vaccination clinic near you.
Get your next doses
When you are eligible for your next dose, we send you another booking invitation. As for your first appointment, you will select a place, a date and a time. You will receive invitations:
- Approximately 56 days after your first dose, to receive your second dose
- Six months after your second dose, to get a booster dose
We encourage you to bring your vaccination record or show your online vaccination record on Health Gateway at your appointment.
What to expect during your appointment

Arrive prepared
Prepare your appointment:
- You don’t need to fast. Be sure to drink water
- Bring your booking confirmation and photo ID
- Wear a short-sleeved shirt and a mask. A mask will be provided to you if you need it
- Arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
During the meeting
At the pharmacy or clinic, you:
- Check in with your photo ID and booking confirmation. Out of modesty, you can request a private location to have your photograph taken
- Obtain the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine dose. No choice will be offered
- Wait in a viewing area after your shot for about 15 minutes

If you are 18 or older and prefer an mRNA-free vaccine, you can get the Novavax vaccine Where Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
I haven’t been vaccinated yet
If you have not yet received dose 1:
- Sign up for the Get Vaccinated system
- Call 1-833-838-2323 to schedule an appointment without mRNA
I already had an mRNA vaccine
You can get a vaccine without mRNA for your second or booster dose:
- Wait to receive your Dose 2 or Reminder booking invitation
- Call 1-833-838-2323 to schedule an appointment without mRNA
Even if you have already had COVID-19 and recovered, you should still get vaccinated.
If you have recently been ill, you can get vaccinated once your symptoms have passed.
If you have an appointment but still have symptoms, report for when you are fully recovered.
Rescheduling your appointment is easy and can be done online 24 hours a day.
