LIRR, Subway, Bus Riders Asked About Service in Online Survey – NBC New York

If you’ve ever wanted to tell the MTA exactly how you feel about its service, whether you’re traveling by bus, subway, or commuter train, and didn’t want your feedback lost in a heated Twitter exchange, we we have good news.

The transit agency just launched its Spring 2022 online travel survey and is asking those who take New York City Transit, Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North Railroad and Access-A-Ride Paratransit to take it. . Sign up to follow him until June 24.

According to the MTA, officials will use the results of the annual survey to understand how people are using its services now and how they can better direct future resources toward desired improvements. As the public knows, there are probably more than a few.

If you complete the survey, your name will be entered into a draw to win a $100 prepaid cash gift card. The results of the survey will be available in September, officials said.

“We know that customers are looking for safer and more reliable travel, and this survey helps us prioritize which trains and stations are first on the list for things like new LED lighting and more frequent cleanings,” said Sarah Meyer, chief customer officer of MTA. “Tell us what you want, New York, and we’ll do our best to make your rides more comfortable.”

The MTA’s fall 2021 survey received 123,000 responses and was the first to target customers using all of its modes of transportation. The results of this survey revealed that hybrid work schedules affected traffic patterns and that the main concerns of customers were related to crime and cleanliness.

In response to these findings, the MTA says it has advocated for more policing on platforms and on trains and enhanced safety protocols related to COVID-19. The results of the autumn survey are available here.
