Scugog Township improves customer service with online solutions

Scugog will introduce a new e-permit service this spring

Following the success of our new online burning permits – with nearly 400 permits issued – we are moving from legacy technology and paper-based systems to digital. Our new e-permit service, when fully implemented, will benefit our Scugog residents, permit applicants, developers and city staff. Benefits include proactive communication, file management and 24/7 paperless access, even onsite!

This new system will provide a single point of contact within the municipal building department. End users such as residents, contractors, and inspectors can easily check their permit status as well as track and schedule inspections, all in one digital space.

The authorization process will be a more proactive and customer-centric approach to customer service on a digital platform. This technology enhancement is part of our five-year Scugog IT strategy which will see Scugog modernize processes and services to better serve the community.
