The language of love inspires rush for romantic holidays as Costa del Sol bookings rise

The Costa del Sol has grown in popularity as a holiday destination after the launch of Channel 4’s new dating show, Language of Love.

New data from holiday company On the Beach may reveal people are falling head over heels in love with Spain’s sunny coast, with bookings up 40% after the launch of the international dating show filmed in the area from Andalusia.

With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, Spain and the Canary Islands remain high on the wish list of couples looking for a romantic short break. The top five destinations for couples traveling between February 9 and 14 include:

  1. Canaries (51%)
  2. Spain (16%)
  3. Egypt (7%)
  4. Portugal (5%)
  5. Cyprus (4%)
