Tom Cruise’s Top Gun Maverick, Chris Pratt’s Jurassic World open for advance booking ahead of India release

Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness made a huge opening in India. In a one-of-a-kind trend, advance booking opened nearly 28 days before the film’s release. Motivated by the success of this experiment, other upcoming Hollywood biggies have also opened advance bookings now, well in time before their releases. So, fans will be pleased to know that Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick and Chris Pratt’s Jurassic World Dominion creators have opened reservations ahead of its release now.


According to reports from, the upcoming blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick starring Tom Cruise and Jurassic World Dominion starring Chris Pratt, have opened booking weeks ahead of their respective May 27 and June 10 releases. Top Gun: Maverick opened advance reservations on Friday, May 6. Meanwhile, reservations for Jurassic World: Dominion opened on May 8, more than a month before its release.

It is also reported that Top Gun: Maverick will now release earlier than expected. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Earlier, Top Gun: Maverick was supposed to be released in cinemas on Friday, May 27. However, it will now release all day from May 26. And that’s not all. There will also be paid previews, on IMAX screens, on Wednesday, May 25, after 6:00 p.m.


Top Gun: Maverick was originally slated for release in July 2019, but now the creators are all set to roll out this high-octane sequel to theaters on May 27. The film follows the story of Maverick, who is forced to teach a new generation of fighter pilots, including Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw, the son of his best friend and pilot Goose, who died in the original film.

The iconic Top Gun was released in 1986. Tom Cruise only worked on the Mission Impossible films, the franchise that began 10 years after Top Gun proved to be the biggest blockbuster.


Starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, Dominion would bring dinosaurs to the continent and it would only be the start of a new era of Jurassic Park movies. Add to that, Dominion will also see the return of Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant and Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, as well as Jeff Goldblum’s Dr. Ian Malcom.

Jurassic World Dominion is directed by Colin Trevorrow, who steered Jurassic World in 2015 to a record $1.7 billion at the worldwide box office. The screenplay is by Emily Carmichael and Colin Trevorrow from a story by Derek Connolly (Jurassic World) and Trevorrow, based on characters created by Michael Crichton. Jurassic World Dominion hits theaters June 10 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu
