Triumph Tiger Sport 660 pre-bookings begin ahead of India launch

Triumph Motorcycles India recently opened pre-bookings for the upcoming Tiger Sport 660 ADV on the market ahead of the bike’s official launch in the coming months. Interested customers can reserve the motorbike for a symbolic amount of ??50,000. While pre-bookings have already started, the company has yet to announce the official launch date for the bike.

The new Tiger Sport 660 will be ranked as the most affordable mid-weight adventure-style sport touring motorcycle in the company’s adventure lineup.

The Tiger Sport 660 has already been made available in the international market and is already listed on the company’s official website in India since October 2021.

Inside, the Tiger Sport 660 is based on Triumph’s most affordable roadster, the Trident 660. However, there are some major differences that give the Tiger an entirely different character. It features an all-new design, a different subframe, and a longer-travel suspension setup that allows it better touring capabilities.

Some of its main features and equipment include LED lighting, two driving modes (Road and Rain), a Bluetooth enabled dashboard, switchable traction control and ABS.

At the heart of the bike is a liquid-cooled 660cc inline three-cylinder engine. This powertrain is mated to a six-speed transmission. The overall power of this engine is recorded at 80 hp of power at 10,250 rpm and 64 Nm of maximum torque at 6,250 rpm.

Some of the bike’s main rivals will be seen in the form of the Kawasaki Versys 650 and Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT.
